[Adam Hart] That reference is to newly acquired forward Rasheed Wallace, who during preseason play said the Celtics could match the NBA record for wins in a season. That number stands at 72, attained by Michael Jordan’s Bulls.

In Tuesday night’s season opener, the Celtics beat the second best team in the East, LeBron James‘ Cleveland Cavaliers, 95-89. Paul Pierce led the C’s with 23 points. Oh, and Kevin Garnett made his triumphant return with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Why set the bar so low, Sheed?
